Barcelona Day Tours

We used this company on September 23 for a half day trip to Montserrat. Pick up and drop off was at the ship. Both the guide and the overall tour was excellent. We had 12 people on the tour, (picked up at the ship or from individual hotels). There was ample free time at Montserrat for this type of tour, although one could easily spend a whole day there if this is your interest.

Do you remember what they charged for this and how many people were in your group. This is what we would like to do next year and will have 6 with luggage (hopefully not too much of it :D).

We just used Barcelona Day Tours (on October 25). It was a wonderful full day tour. First we toured Montjuic (stopped for some great mountain views and photos of Barcelona) and Barcelona (passed some Gaudi properties, Olympic Stadium, toured Park Guell etc) then off to Montserrat (saw the boys choir perform at 1 pm), back to Barcelona, walked around Segrada Familia etc. We were picked up at the port at 8:30 am, had 12 in our group, were in a full sized touring bus so luggage amount was not a problem, had a wonderful knowledgable guide, then we were all dropped off at our respective hotels. This cost 99 Euro p/p. Very well worth it, and a great overview.

Just came back from a tour with Barcelona Day Tours. They were terrific! Picked us up at the end of our cruise and showed us Barcelona. We were a group of 10 and the small group was not a problem as we all wanted to go into the Cathedral (if one did not we would not have gone in). Our guide was very knowledgeable and upbeat. The one draw back is that we booked a full day tour and we were exhausted by the time we were dropped off at our hotel. Would recommend them highly.

Loving all these positive reviews!! We just contacted them, and have been communicating back and forth. They are the only tour company that has responded promptly (I have tried other tour companies in other cities and heard NOTHING). Just hope more people for the 28th of June departure want to do the tour =3 so far its just the two of us for their semi-private tour, and we need more.

Greetings, all:

We're in Barcelona now for 3 days pre cruise on NCL. Wanted to see all of the highlights and would usually do this on our own, but I was concerned about language barriers and horror stories about street crime.

I researched extensively (mainly through Trip Advisor and Cruise Critic) and settled on Nancy Daum Dailey of Enchanting Barcelona Tours. We've just spent an amazing and full day with her, walking and bicycling through the city. She is AWESOME! We're so delighted, we've booked another day with her tomorrow.

Nancy is very engaging, a delight to spend the day with and personalized the tour to match exactly what we wanted to see - even adjusting on the fly. Her deep understanding of Barcelona and its history make for a fantastic experience. Just want to share this option with any fellow CC'ers looking for a great Barcelona tour experience.

Here is her website: http://www.enchantingbarcelonatours.com/

Happy Cruising,

Mooline

We used Barcelona Day Tours this May on two different days. We made the reservations several months before leaving the US for our trip. I think you can also email a few days ahead and see if any tours are still available. Email correspondence was very good and timely. For thirst tour we were picked up at our ship, luggage in trunk, and spent 8 hr with our guide. He was great. He always stayed with our car so we were not worried about our luggage. If you have time for a full day tour you will really see Barcelona, at least from the outside. Our second tour was to Montserrat and Cava winery. I would highly recommend this company. We will use them next year when we return to Barcelona.
