souvenir cup = cheaper drink refills?

Just curious, saw some posts stating if you get a Souvenir cup you can get $4.95 (at the time) refills which are larger than buying a normal drink outright. Does this only apply for the DoD? Are punch cards a cheaper option?

Yes if you buy the souvenier cup once you can get refills that same size for a little bit of a price break. and yes that only applies to the DODs. Its good for the whole cruise but you have to remember to actually take your souvenier cup to get the refill deal ( unless you have a friendly and accomodating waiter:) ).

 

They also offer on some ships a DOD card, which gets you one of the larger souvenier cup DOD and 4 more of the smaller size. Moneywise it is a price break if you buy the card.
