just sayin' ;)

threads with stuff from the blog thingy (and granted, subsequent press releases) outnumber the *!~OFFICIAL~!* threads tonight

someone oughta call guinness

There have been quite a few this evening. I counted two Dream non-smoking casino threads, and like three or four talking about the Elation/Fantasy move. I would read his blog every once in a while, but there really is no need; everything he posts of consequence ends up posted here anyway!:D

I think John's blog is fun....but also really informative. He gives real insights into how the "top brass" at Carnival are thinking, planning....

One thing I noticed recently is that he has been posting various things about the German AIDA subsidiary of Carnival..that offers a more casual, open sort of cruise, with excellent buffets....some paid restaurants....and inclusive wine/beer/soft drinks with meals

he mentioned them again today

so who knows??? Maybe they are taking some trends from them?

The "open" piano bar/entertainment/casino venue on Dream sure looks a lot like the open/indoor outdoor "entertainment" complex on AIDA that he wrote about

i agree, and often one of the first sources of important / notable info, like today... and also, often the only source of info, via the Q&A, however trite or narrow focused it may sometimes be, that never hits a press release.

good, and accurate observation, i know exactly what you're talking about, and he's keen on those ships' design...

it does seem that way, at least to a degree, with the openness of the ocean plaza / piano bar / casino and the like, with the added exterior promenade... that openness itself is a departure from the traditional design... for carnival ships, and makes some sense. i've always kinda wished they'd take the space for the wine bar, which is undersized, and often underused, and given it to the similarly, but remarkably popular, piano bars...

Oh and on our Holiday sailing found out one of the Bar Tenders is moving over to the Destiny she'll be there in February when we sail.
