MICHIGAN MAMA Posted September 19, 2009 #26 Share Posted September 19, 2009 Going on the Sapphire soon and I know there is no IC but are there any of the foods such as the chicken salad or hot cookies anywhere on this ship?
turtlegirl2 Posted September 20, 2009 #27 Share Posted September 20, 2009 My DH and I loved the little cafe area on our last RCCL cruise (NOS) and stopped there frequently for coffee (Seattle's Best - very good) and the pastries, cookies, sandwiches, etc. I am SOOO glad to hear there is something similar on our upcoming Caribbean Princess cruise in November! One week really is not enough time for all the fun and food on a cruise, is it?? :D
jim_m123 Posted September 20, 2009 #28 Share Posted September 20, 2009 Stop by the IC for warm, fresh baked cookies and a Latte' on your way to the Princess Theatre for the evening show. Wow - you know - life is really really good!

jamscckmc Posted September 20, 2009 #31 Share Posted September 20, 2009 Just off the CB, we got the chicken salad and greek salad and mixed them together for a late lite lunch whe getting back on board. You can get the ham and cheese croisant and take that off and put the chicken salad on the croisant. Yum! Try the blueberry cake when available. The cafe was open when we embarked and it was a nice alternative to the craziness of the buffet!
cubfan63 Posted September 20, 2009 #32 Share Posted September 20, 2009 Besides the incredible Shrimp Salad, I enjoyed the Quiche they had at the International Cafe on the Emerald Princess last month starting at 11 am. They had a different version each day, although it did repeat on our 10-day cruise. I wish they had it at breakfast too.
tootsie7 Posted September 21, 2009 #33 Share Posted September 21, 2009 Where is the International Cafe on the CB? I can't seem to find it on the deck plans?
Colo Cruiser Posted September 21, 2009 #34 Share Posted September 21, 2009 Where is the International Cafe on the CB? I can't seem to find it on the deck plans? Deck 5 at the base of the Atrium.
laughing husky Posted September 21, 2009 #35 Share Posted September 21, 2009 the almond croissants as well as the marrinated shrimp on the Star in May were to die for....so were the warm chocolate chip cookies.....I would get an oceanview room....not to save $$$....but to be next to the cookies and croissants and the shrimp....The chicken is good too, but I think it is a bit bland. There are no nuts in it for obvious reasons....and pecans are so good in chicken salad....and no onions....but that is why the world go round....different strokes for different folks....:D
LBrandy Posted September 22, 2009 #36 Share Posted September 22, 2009 We have been on 2 CB cruises an never been to ic ....our 3rd is comeing .an now the secert is out I will be there for sure,my mouth is watering just reading about it.
OCNJ Cruiser Posted September 22, 2009 #37 Share Posted September 22, 2009 I'm pretty sure the IC is new to the CB since dry dock. That's why LBrandy didn't see it on previous cruises. Tootsie-you probably have old deck plans. Call Princess and order a new book. As for me, chocolate chip cookies, a glass of cold milk, and a book are perfect for sitting in the Atrium after a long day of touring an island! waubee1 Posted September 22, 2009 #38 Share Posted September 22, 2009 Is the Coffee the only thing you have to pay for in the IC, is the chicken salad and food in the cases all included in the cruise?
Colo Cruiser Posted September 22, 2009 #39 Share Posted September 22, 2009 Is the Coffee the only thing you have to pay for in the IC, is the chicken salad and food in the cases all included in the cruise? Coffee/specialty coffees cost. The other food does not. ;)

lovevacadays Posted September 22, 2009 Author #41 Share Posted September 22, 2009 Marinated shrimp sound yummy. Wow, it now seems hard to choose between the horizon court and the IC for lunch. I guess I need a B2B to try all the food options!
palolake Posted September 22, 2009 #42 Share Posted September 22, 2009 oooh, the warm cookies! There is also a strawberry cake that is wonderful.
ggprincess2004 Posted September 22, 2009 #43 Share Posted September 22, 2009 Mostly I am not a fan of the cakes on Princess, but the lemon cake that appears around noon in the IC is quite delectable IMHO. Luckily, most of the other desserts are not too tempting, as I would rather enjoy the shrimp, the Greek Salad, the chicken salad.......and the morning pastries like the chocolate croissants and the cinnamon bread. Now I will have to look for the strawberry cake as well!

lovevacadays Posted September 22, 2009 Author #47 Share Posted September 22, 2009 Are the tapas I keep hearing about in the IC or are they in Vines? I guess Vines is, obviously, a wine bar. It looks like wine, sushi, cheese, and tapas? What are your thoughts and perhaps favorites there as well?

Love Boat Dream Posted September 23, 2009 #49 Share Posted September 23, 2009 I love the beignets in the morning and the shrimp salad in the afternoon. And, the chocolate covered strawberries were worth the $1 a piece. I've wanted to try the fondue but have always been too full!
