The Mariner of the Seas does not go to any islands and the Paradise only goes to one.

The Mariner of the Seas goes to three ports - all located on a continent. The Paradise goes to two ports - Catalina, which is an island and Ensenada, which is located on a continent.

Next, you are trying to compare a one week cruise traveling over 2200 miles to a four night cruise traveling only about 400 miles. This is an apples and oranges comparison.
