lord of the seas Posted September 19, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 19, 2009 Is formal dress expected in all of the restaurants? What is the dress code for other shipboard venues on "Formal " night ie showroom, lounges, casino? Formal dress is for the main restaurant. The other dining venues have a more relaxed dress code which appears in the daily herald which is delivered to your suite. On formal night the other venues are usually elegant casual. It would not be good to go to the show lounge or club on formal night in shorts and a polo shirt. Martita B. Posted September 20, 2009 #3 Share Posted September 20, 2009 I would think a sport coat and necktie would be fine if you're not dining in the restaurant. In the show lounge, club and in the casino Guests will be dressed according to the Black Tie evening. Martita B.
Andy 1333 Posted September 20, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted September 20, 2009 Since I am not bringing "formal' wear on this cruise I think this will be the perfect night to try room service dinner and an on demand movie. Does anyone have a suggestion or comment regarding room service on the Odyssey?
Tillylovesseabourn Posted September 20, 2009 #5 Share Posted September 20, 2009 Hi Andy, my friend has just today texted me from the Odyssey to say how fantastic it is and that the in room movie selection is just great! As for the room service I cant comment on that, but I have always found it to be very good on the triplets, so I can imagine it will be excellent! Andy, Room service is great and Peter from Austria is the bell captain we have known him from other cruises with Seabourn,he is one of our favourites. There is a room service menu and you can also order from the main restaurant menu.Ask to be served course by course and you can set your own timing for this. The selection of movies is vast, about 200 films from all catorgories. We have room service at least once a week.
