njoyndride Posted September 19, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 19, 2009 Having been on both, my vote would be Radiance. Are the itineraries equal?
crzndeb Posted September 19, 2009 #3 Share Posted September 19, 2009 I have been on both also, and my choice would be Radiance too.
leoandhugh Posted September 19, 2009 #4 Share Posted September 19, 2009 The Radiance by all means; there is no comparison. Unless you want to party, party forget the Elation which is one of Carnival's older ships. Radiance is much more upscale and lots of glass to keep you in touch with the sea. We have been on all 4 of the Radiance class and they are really our favorites.:)

Fredr Posted September 20, 2009 #6 Share Posted September 20, 2009 Hello, My DW and I were on the Radiance for a B2B in April of 2009, from Buenos Aires to San Diego (29 days total). The Radiance is an excellent ship overall. I have not been on the Elation but the Radiance will give you a very nice cruise experience.
Gini Posted September 20, 2009 Author #7 Share Posted September 20, 2009 Thanks to everyone for information about help between Radiance and Elation - now we need to select a deck on Radiance. We are looking at Deck 7, 8 or maybe even 4 - any suggestions? When you first get on the ship what deck do you arrive on? Thanks....

Gini, From one Michigan person to another ( but i have not lived in Michigan since 1969) stay higher on the Radiance than on deck 4. Deck 4 is nice but it is better to be higher up. cruiserbryce Posted September 20, 2009 #9 Share Posted September 20, 2009 if the costs and itineraries are equivalent I would say Radiance. I have been on a 4 RC ships (sadly never Radiance)...and Elation...if the Radiance is anyuthing like the others in the fleet I would say hands down it would be my selection. Elation wasnt bad but the atmosphere and layout of the RC ships has just been a little better in my opinion...
Gini Posted September 23, 2009 Author #10 Share Posted September 23, 2009 We have cruised on Carnival Paradise and like staying on Empress Deck. DH doesn't like motion - will deck 8 be too high for us on the Radiance? Do you board ship on deck 4 on Radiance of the Seas ? Thanks.
