Should we splurge on Silversea?

I have a formula.

 

example: Hawaii, $475/night, dinner $250,$65/day car rental, booze bill, $50, $15/day tips, breakfast/lunch $100.total:$955/day

 

SS/seabourn comes to between $875-$1000/day and you go to exciting places and you don't have to lift a finger.

 

cruising, while a "tad" more maybe, is an experience to remember.

 

a week in NY would be $600/day.

for my upcomming Oct 3rd trip, 9 days on the shadow, I figure that Im paying less than 300 a day including the solo supplement, after factoring in the 500 OBC, free air promo, transfers, gratuties, alcohol. It was an extremely attractive purchase.
