Please Read: Atlantis from 7am-midnight: experts, please advise / Using Comfort Inn

We are heading out mid-October to Atlantis. We booked 2 rooms (8 people) at Comfort Inn. We would like to actually USE the room at the Comfort Inn since our day is so long and we might want to rest or take a break.

We figured we would get to the hotel around 8:30 am and check in. Then go to Atlantis to use the water park from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm (we will try to bring snacks from the boat).

Then we will go back to ship and eat some dinner at 5:00 pm and then head back to Atlantis to do the aquarium and Casino around 6:30 pm.

We may leave my kids at the hotel (under the supervision of the 15 year old) while us adults go into the Casino for a bit - or even on the ship.

We would check out by 10 pm and go back on the ship.

Any thoughts on how this would work out?

What have others done with this long of a time in Nassau?

Is there any Food Places (affordable) to eat near the Comfort Inn if my kids get too hungry before go back to the ship for food?

What is the height limit for the water slides? My daughter is under 48 inches, so what slides can she do? (She is 6).

How soon can you check in?

Thanks for your responses!

i've done the atlantis via CI once and going to do it again in a few weeks. :) can't wait!! i don't remember what the height requirements are for the slides; check the atlantis website. its probably posted there. i'm taking a 7 & 8 year old with me this time, so i'll check it out and post it when i get back.

Reasonable and Nassau cannot really be used in the same sentence. you won't find reasonable food, and for what you'll pay for the cab from the atlantis and back, you may as well eat there. i'd advise against bringing food from the ship. its a customs violation and they can check your bags when you leave. it depends on how thorough they are at the port that day. they allow water bottles, but not food. atlantis doesnt open until 10am usually, so you'll have time to eat a good breakfast on the ship before you go. you can expect to pay about the same thing for food there as you would at any theme park/tourist attraction. some restaurants & cafes are more reasonable than others, but again, check the atlantis website for more info. i don't remember the exact name of the one we ate at, but we paid about $8/pp for lunch, $10 w/ drink.

comfort inn will let you check in whenever you get there, but the room itself will not be available until 3pm. they'll give you the atlantis passes to present at the towel huts where you'll receive your arm bands. our taxi driver waited for me to check in at comfort inn & drove us to the atlantis, but its within walking distance if you get one that doesn't want to wait.

hope this was helpful. you made a really good move booking the room. oh, and you'll have aquarium access with the wristbands. i'd recommend going earlier b/c you don't want to wait until security leaves and have to battle all the folks getting in free.
