Bert64 Posted January 3, 2005 #1 Share Posted January 3, 2005 A few friends and I are taking a cruise on Royal Caribbean in April and it's at least $100 cheaper per person to fly into Fort Lauderdale as opposed to flying into Miami. Does anyone know the best/cheapest way to get from Fort Lauderdale Airport to the Port of Miami and how long it takes? Thanks! Happy cruising...:)

SherBear Posted January 4, 2005 #3 Share Posted January 4, 2005 It should only take you 30-45 min. to get to the Port of Miami from Ft. Lauderdale Airport. The airport is next to I-95 and Southbound will take you into Miami. Hope this helps...
jean-lynd Posted January 4, 2005 #4 Share Posted January 4, 2005 We used Tri-County share a ride service. It was $15/person or you can have a Townecar to yourself for $55. Their website is http://www.floridalimo.com. You do not need to make arrangements in advance. You just walk up to their counter, right outside of baggage claim, and tell them what you want. I hope this helps!

SisZ Posted January 5, 2005 #6 Share Posted January 5, 2005 We just got back, flew into Miami, and if I were you, I would take a private taxi. The alternatives are too crazy. Waiting for vans and busses to fill up, watching drivers throw your luggage around, (hasn't it been thru enough?). Then, your driver stops at every ship for every passenger on the bus/van. A taxi puts your luggage in the back, drives like a bat outta you-know-where, and you are there!
