Izziebella Posted September 24, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 24, 2009 Carnival states in their pre-sail book that each adult is permitted 1 bottle of wine to carry on. If we're on B2B cruises will they allow 2 bottles per adult per cruise?
salty dingo Posted September 24, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 24, 2009 Probably, yes. You are going on 2 cruises and each one has the same rules.

Let me give you a little tip, buy some wines in port on your first cruise and they will deliver it to your room on the last night of the frist cruise...Then you can drink it on your second week...and maybe a little rum...LOL.....:)....Dennis
Izziebella Posted September 25, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted September 25, 2009 I'm assuming the security people don't know the rules regarding B2B cruises, if there are any. Does anyone think calling Carnival will get me an answer or just agrivation.
hill6 Posted September 25, 2009 #5 Share Posted September 25, 2009 You will also have the opportunity when you return to the homeport to get off the ship. You can go to a liquor store and restock then.
Grace1107 Posted September 25, 2009 #6 Share Posted September 25, 2009 How does Carnival handle this? Can you keep the wine in your cabin or do they take it? Also if you want it for dinner, do they charge to open it? Thanks for any help.
DGP1111 Posted September 25, 2009 #7 Share Posted September 25, 2009 I'm assuming the security people don't know the rules regarding B2B cruises, if there are any. You are correct in that assumption . . . at least as I experienced it. The security personnel saw two bottles in the xray, and commented that I could only keep one. I was prepared for that and had the documents for the second leg of the B2B out and ready to show. Several confused looks. I had to explain that on the return I would not be going through any xray once again, so unless they had a method to deliver the second bottle to my room for the second leg, I was within the printed guidelines (which I also carried) to have the additional bottle. This was my literally my security checkpoint for the cruise occuring days later. Their responce: "Go right ahead and have a good cruise".
Douglase Posted September 28, 2009 #8 Share Posted September 28, 2009 We have taken as many as 6 bottles of wine on a 4 night cruise. We take wine on every cruise. Not once has anything been said to us about the limit. Maybe we have been luckey.
