J-Hawk Posted September 26, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 26, 2009 I know on Royal Caribbean there were a couple of companies that they allowed passengers to order alcohol from ahead of time to have waiting in the cabin when you embark. Does Carnival allow this and if so, do you have any contact info? Thanks!

J-Hawk Posted September 26, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted September 26, 2009 http://www.carnival.com/BonVoyage/Default.aspx Thanks for the link! That helps for wine, what about rum?
cruisetobeaches Posted September 26, 2009 #4 Share Posted September 26, 2009 Thanks for the link! That helps for wine, what about rum? You need to call. Can't be done online. Selection is limited, but the Malibu Coconut is good............
J-Hawk Posted September 26, 2009 Author #5 Share Posted September 26, 2009 Do they charge a fortune for it?
cruisetobeaches Posted September 26, 2009 #6 Share Posted September 26, 2009 Sort of.........Cheaper than "per drink" if purchased on the ship, but much more than in the ship store.
BC Todd Posted September 26, 2009 #7 Share Posted September 26, 2009 Do they charge a fortune for it? We paid $40 for a bottle of Stoli Vodka from the BV department:D
miraed77 Posted September 27, 2009 #8 Share Posted September 27, 2009 I paid $40 each for a bottle of Capt. Morgans. A bit overpriced, but this will save me some cash.
Rare patrice1 Posted September 27, 2009 #9 Share Posted September 27, 2009 Keep in mind the bottle is a full Litre, not like a "fifth", more like a quart bottle. We always order a vodka and a Seagrams. I love not having to smuggle & having it waiting in our cabin with a big, ol' bow tied on it!:D
RollaThatRocks Posted September 27, 2009 #10 Share Posted September 27, 2009 Anyone know the cost of Jack Daniels and Malibu Coconut Rum?
jayscore Posted September 27, 2009 #11 Share Posted September 27, 2009 Yes, the hooch cost about double of what I would pay up by me. But, it's still a couple of pounds less (and space) to deal with in my bags. ;)
dst Posted September 27, 2009 #12 Share Posted September 27, 2009 The bottles are either 40.00 or 55.00 for the higher end requests (i.e Kahlua, Kettle One) I believe Malibu would fall under the 40.00 price. We do this for our cruises and it's just nice to have in the cabin to make a martini for out on the balcony :) We have even ordered for friends to have in their cabin Call the Bon Voyage Department and they will take care of it for you. massus Posted September 29, 2009 #13 Share Posted September 29, 2009 I did not know you could have Rum waiting in your room when you got there. That is a wonderful bit of information.... I never would risk getting caught smuggling it aboard, but now i can have it waiting on me.... Thanks for this great tip
Chris64 Posted September 29, 2009 #14 Share Posted September 29, 2009 Just call the Bon Voyage Dept, bring your own mixers and off you go!
BlueC5Kitten Posted September 29, 2009 #15 Share Posted September 29, 2009 Keep in mind the bottle is a full Litre, not like a "fifth", more like a quart bottle. We always order a vodka and a Seagrams. I love not having to smuggle & having it waiting in our cabin with a big, ol' bow tied on it!:D I would hope it would be a litre bottle instead of a 750mL! Anyone know the cost of Jack Daniels and Malibu Coconut Rum? The Malibu is $40...they just quoted me that price, along with the "Irish Cream" being $45...but didn't specify if it was Bailey's or another brand. $45 for even 1L of Bailey's is still pricey, since I can get a 1.75L bottle for $38, locally. Since I don't drink much on cruises, I will probably skip it. AALCRUISER Posted September 29, 2009 #19 Share Posted September 29, 2009 I called and ask about Rum the carry. I remember Bacardi and Appleton. Appleton is a Jamaican Rum. Much better than Bacardi. I believe it was 40.00 plus tax, about 42.00. We ordered Skye Vodka for $40.00.

Uff'da Posted September 29, 2009 #23 Share Posted September 29, 2009 This is awesome info to have!!! I also thought you could only order wine and stuff through the Bon Voyage department! You can order wine. Actually, wine can be ordered online. Go back to page one, second post and there is a link right to it! This thread is more about "hard liquor". That you have to call for. Cozumelandbill Posted September 30, 2009 #24 Share Posted September 30, 2009 Its also a good idea, if you order the booze, to get the soda card. You can then take your "red cups" to the bar for juice. The soda card gets you pineapple, orange, etc.. Give up a few bucks to the regular bar tender and he was putting the fruit on the side of our cups.
