Hi

im new to the board and was wondering if anybody had been on MSC Fantasia, I have got room 8255 on the favola deck and my TA has told me that there will be no noise intereference on our cruise as it is a new cruiseline we wont be able to hear anything.

but I was wondering has anybody stayed in the rooms at the back of the ship and whether anybody can hear any noise as I ma wondering whether I would be better served to stay in a different cabin

Thanks

Hi 1trainer1

I've been on the Fantasia (and what an amazingly beautiful ship she is - absolutely stunning). We were midhip on deck 12, so have no experience of the cabin you have been allcated. It is true that as a new ship the engines are realtively quiet compared to other ships that I've been on but they are not silent. I hink it is very likely that there will be more nosie on entering and leaving ports than the rest of the time. Whether you find this unbearable or not - I can't say. many people love aft cabins others moan about noise and vibration.

What I can tell you is that the Fantasia is extrenmely long, so you are going to have a fair bit of walking to do as most of the bars and restaurants are mid ship. The Theatre and casino are at/towards the front. Spa, gym and covered pool also front. However you will be directly above the main show lounge ad the zanzibar cafe is also aft as is the adult only zen pool area.

if you really want to avoid noise, then to be safe move further forward.

Thanks,

you have got a lot of experience with MSC from your signature which is good as the ship does indeed look beautiful and if the cruise if as much as we hope then we will be trying a few of the other MSC ships.

The reason we chose this suite was because of the view we will get whenever we are leaving ports as it feels like it will be truly magnificent and is something that will be truly memorable.

also I am wondering how muchl the capacity be will be, im thinking along the lines of 80% but from what I have read it could be less on the 1st November
