CAT330 Posted September 30, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 30, 2009 Please help.We need to get from Quebec City from the cruise port to Montreal. Someone suggested the train. They even said there was a 2 for 1 special senior rate. Any info on that? Also are there any shuttle services out there? There is a group of 8 of us. We are leaving for ny on 10/12.:)
cands Posted October 5, 2009 #2 Share Posted October 5, 2009 Hope you haven't left yet! We traveled on this route many years ago and have covered just about every ViaRail route over several trips. They were all fine trips. We went business class on your route. The service was similar to an airline (not a budget one!). I notice there are now two types of cars in each class. There seems to be 4-5 trains a day and it takes 3hrs 20 to 40 mins. Check out the ViaRail site that is most informative. I had a quick look at the fares - doesn't seem to be much difference between seniors and adult for economy or business. Using ViaRail's booking tool there seems to be a number of discounted fares sold out but even the full fare seems reasonable. Hope this helps Cands
