rollingstone Posted September 30, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 30, 2009 Has anyone done this tour? How do you get from the ship to the bus station? Was it a good trip? Which stops should I not miss & which were not worth stopping? Thank you
Sandy R Posted September 30, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 30, 2009 Hi to the 2 of you... when we stopped in Pusan in 2006, there was a ship's shuttle into the center of town. It was maybe a 20-25 minute ride and about $10 round-trip per person. The shuttle let us off by the Kukje Market and the Jagaichi fish market. After exploring the area around the markets, we took a taxi to Yongdusan Park and had the taxi driver wait for us. Not much there but a nice view of the city and kids feeding pigeons. We had no desire to take the elevator up the Pusan Tower... it was only a few stories high but just didn't look safe. Sorry, I have no idea where the bus station is but I can't imagine it's far from the fish market. We're thinking of taking the subway to Beomeosa Temple. Some passengers on our cruise went on their own and said the temple wasn't far away and locals helped them buy tickets to the subway.
kobecat Posted October 26, 2009 #3 Share Posted October 26, 2009 There is a stop just outside the port gates. Walk out and turn right. Make sure you get the timing right for the bus you take to get you back on time. There is also a stop at the fish markets as mentioned above but it is impossible to find. We ran out of time and only got out at the park and one other stop. It was a really enjoyable ride around. Beryl
