lovevacadays Posted October 6, 2009 #1 Share Posted October 6, 2009 What can you tell me about the Piazza area in regards to entertainment? Is it difficult to get seats? Is this where the Champagne Waterfall is held?

taszmom Posted October 6, 2009 #3 Share Posted October 6, 2009 Was on the Ruby (and will be again in December). They had DooWop singers, a juggler a guy on a unicycle and at night they did the waterfall champagne, NY's Even celebration. Lots of fun! And yes as the previous poster stated, very crowded in the evenings. No seating at night and during the day, only a few but you can see if you are sitting at Vines or the International Cafe as well. Colo Cruiser Posted October 6, 2009 #4 Share Posted October 6, 2009 Yes it is difficult to get seats when anything is going on there. There are very few seat anyway.
Atomica Posted October 6, 2009 #5 Share Posted October 6, 2009 Lots of stuff going on at various times - whenever there's an act there, it's pretty much standing room only. The Piazza was a favorite spot of ours when we were on the Crown in July, and if you're patient, you can get seats. There were four of us, and we always managed most of the time. Sometimes we sat in the International Cafe, and sometimes we went over to Vines. Colo Cruiser is correct though - there's very few seats in this area to begin with. TorontoTL Posted October 6, 2009 #6 Share Posted October 6, 2009 The Piazza is my favourite hang out on the ships with the Piazza. I hope that with newbuilds going forward, Princess makes the Piazza a larger space with much more seating.
FolksOfMeans - ByNoMeans Posted October 6, 2009 #7 Share Posted October 6, 2009 What can you tell me about the Piazza area in regards to entertainment? Is it difficult to get seats? Yes it is difficult to get seats when anything is going on there. There are very few seat anyway. Depends on the Itinerary from what we can see. We just returned from an eighteen day TA on the Crown. Southampton to New york. Due to the rather cool weather, no one was on the open decks. Every one was inside. Seats in the Piazza and International Cafe were scarce. Folks sat there most of the day; reading, gabbing, etc. If anything was going on it was difficult/impossible to get any seats. Some folks took chairs from the International Cafe and Vines to use. Saw one couple take two stools from the Princess Internet area to use. Some folks insisted on standing against the stair case railing to see what was going on. They created a rather dangerous situation. Some folks needed use of the railing when ascending/decending the stairs. Without railing access, they were forced to cross across the stairs and meet up with folks on the other side going in the opposite direction.
