jsmc4 Posted October 7, 2009 #1 Share Posted October 7, 2009 Hi, My husband and I are just back from an awesome Mediterranean cruise aboard the Noordam. It was a fantastic ship with a great crew. We did all of the ports on our own. Lots of sight seeing and shopping. We used sooo many tips from this board. Took 600 pictures! Life without trays in the Lido was fine. Will probably write a real review soon. Meanwhile, if you have any questions I will be happy to try to answer them!

'awesome'. :) For some reason NOORDAM and the Med are a perfect match. Who was captain? Stephen
phyllo Posted October 7, 2009 #3 Share Posted October 7, 2009 Can you please tell me about your Mediterranean cruise on Noordam? We've never cruised Europe, but have been thinking about it. What were the highlights? Thanks, Phyllis
jsmc4 Posted October 7, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted October 7, 2009 Who was captain? I think the Capt was John Scott. Quote:Can you please tell me about your Mediterranean cruise on Noordam? Very rich history, nice people and easy to get around. The weather was wonderful. 77 - 80 and sunny every day. The ship enviornment and crew were great. Silverwing Posted October 7, 2009 #6 Share Posted October 7, 2009 We did this Noordam 10 day Eastern Mediterranean itinerary (Roman Empire) cruise at the beginning of September and agree with the OP - it was fantastic, with a really good balance of varied and interesting port visits and sea time. The ship was beautiful, spotlessly clean and very spacious; the crew were all considerate, friendly and efficient and the food in both the Lido and main dining room was excellent. We had brilliant dining and cabin stewards. All together a great success- we loved every minute!
