Taxi Question for the Islander

We will be in St.Thomas next week on the Victory and will be travelling in a group of 12 (6 adults and 6 kids). My questions is regarding taxi costs. My wife and I have 4 of the kids....a 9 year old and two year old triplets. I have heard that for us to take a taxi to Coral World/Coki beach would be around $7 per person. For me that is $42 each way....seems a little high. Will they charge me the full price per person for our triplets.....or if they sit on our laps and don't take up a seat....will they not be charged the same price as an adult or older child. Not a huge deal, but just wondered if there was a better way to do the trip from pier to Coral World.

 

When I talked to Godfrey about booking his tour, he told me that he would not charge for the little ones....he was very helpful. We just decided that the length of the tour might not be accomodating for the three little ones.
