M.S JAZO Posted January 5, 2005 #1 Share Posted January 5, 2005 Here is the link. Not completely canceled. You can still book to sail on her but they are asking to much for that sailing date. Its hurricane season. http://www.expedia.com/daily/promos/cruise/Apprentice/default.asp
crisp1 Posted January 5, 2005 #2 Share Posted January 5, 2005 If I took this cruise, it would probably be my last! LOL. Trump + the apprentices. AGHHHH!
GoinCruisin Posted January 5, 2005 #3 Share Posted January 5, 2005 LOL, no thank you... sounds like zero fun to me. Sad thing is, there will be people that go so they can see the Donald. But I guarantee they will fly him in and then fly him out. That man won't sit still on a ship for a week... LOL.
Jasonsterling Posted January 5, 2005 #4 Share Posted January 5, 2005 Wow!!! $1100.00 pp for an inside room (I'm assuming they're quoting the lowest priced room) in September! I hope the VIP Bon Voyage party is worth it.
karlanee Posted January 5, 2005 #5 Share Posted January 5, 2005 Yep, you got that right. DH said - wonder why he can't use his own ship? I said, he doesn't want it messed up - plus it's a way to promote more commerce. LOL

GoinCruisin Posted January 5, 2005 #8 Share Posted January 5, 2005 I don't understand why he didn't charter "THE BEST"??? He is always talking about "This is the biggest and largest", "This is the best the world has to offer", blah blah blah.... and he's cruising the Carnival Legend? Gimme a break Don... He must be running tight on funds, LOL...
MyImagination Posted January 5, 2005 #9 Share Posted January 5, 2005 They will probably have a tie-in with the Glazer Pediatric Aids Charity giving people a chance to write off a portion of the cruise fare.
beansatw Posted January 5, 2005 #10 Share Posted January 5, 2005 The description of the cruise says: "After a VIP bon voyage party featuring “The Chairman” himself, Donald Trump, you’ll leave the Manhattan skyline in the distance, sailing for exotic Caribbean ports-of-call." So it sounds like The Donald won't even be on board - he's just hosting the VIP party. You know, there are a million other people I'd rather be at sea with for a week than The Donald and his reality TV famepigs... :)
kjunea Posted January 5, 2005 #11 Share Posted January 5, 2005 All the girls better watch out for Raj -- he's a hound if there ever was one!!
seadays4me Posted January 12, 2005 #12 Share Posted January 12, 2005 I'm already booked on that cruise. Booked it last October. I didn't know it was a special Apprentice cruise. It wouldn't bother me not to still sail since it will still be a diverse group of people aboard (as opposed to a company's sales meeting charter). I paid a normal price, I hope that they will not try to charge me more, or even try to cancel my reservations.
GoinCruisin Posted January 12, 2005 #13 Share Posted January 12, 2005 Seadays, you might want to check with your TA... many have been cancelled from this cruise, so you might want to check it out! Good luck!!
Boston6 Posted January 12, 2005 #14 Share Posted January 12, 2005 I don't understand why he didn't charter "THE BEST"??? He is always talking about "This is the biggest and largest", "This is the best the world has to offer", blah blah blah.... and he's cruising the Carnival Legend? Gimme a break Don... He must be running tight on funds, LOL... Carnival IS the biggest cruise line in the world.
GoinCruisin Posted January 12, 2005 #15 Share Posted January 12, 2005 In the grand scheme of things, it's not the "best"... after seeing how the Donald refers to things and always has to have the "best" of everything, and builds the biggest of everything, etc. I was saying you would think he would have chosen the "creme de la creme" of cruise lines, or maybe a bigger ship. He's cruising on an older ship, and on one of the least expensive cruise lines (sorry my post was so confusing ;) ), just not on par with what he usually does... and I think it's hilarious!! Even the Donald knows that Carnival is the most fun! :D But I BET if he was actually going on this cruise, it would NOT be a Carnival cruise... MHO of course! MyImagination Posted January 12, 2005 #16 Share Posted January 12, 2005 Actually, Trump didnt "rent" anything, this was all done by Expedia. They are the ones handlining the theme cruise. Trump is just going to the VIP party to promote the show.
