Just a few comments about our second NCL cruise

 

Ship and Crew

The ship is lovely and well maintained in the public areas. There is some wear showing in the cabins.

We found the crew to be uniformly polite & helpful. The wait staff seemed especially concerned about or reation to the food & service. We are not shoppers, but I do want to commend Shirleyanne, who was so helpful with my 2 small purchases. The girl can sing too, as we found out at the crew talent show.

Food

We did experience waits of 15-30 minutes for the main dining rooms, though the free bubbly helped on a couple of occasions:)

The only problem I saw with the fixed menu was that the daily entrees were often too similar to the fixed: grilled steak & baked steak, Lamb shanks & lamb chops. There were some great dishes-the mushroom quesidilla- but I too missed the fruit soups. Oh I could have eaten a ton of the miniature pan chocolat on the breakfast buffet.

Entertainment & Recreation

The best we've had on any of our cruises. Vladamir, Fabrizio, and Bernie Martini kept all the pianos rocking, the Ryan production shows were great, and Dave Heenan is a funny, affable, Irish charmer. The bands were very good & we enjoyed the tribute shows they had. Don't miss the crew show.

I enjoyed the day pass to the spa. The dance lessons were fun and we spent a little time in the casino.

Logistics & ports

Embark, Debark and tendering were all a breeze. Halifax & Saint John were wonderful. Enjoyed the hop on hop off bus in Boston.

Sounds like you had a great time!!!! Tell me, did you have any buy one get one free for dinner??? .... Did they have a mystery dinner????

They did have a mystery dinner. We did not attend, but I understand it was full up.

No 2 for 1 deals. We did eat at Impressions one night. Very good Italian food for a great price.
