twoatsea Posted October 11, 2009 #1 Share Posted October 11, 2009 We will be arriving at the Southampton Cruise Terminal in November aboard the Queen Mary 2. Since the exchange rate is not as good at our USA banks & not good onboard cruise ships, is there an ATM in the Southampton Cruise Terminal? We need British pounds to pay our car service driver. If there is an ATM there, have you experienced or heard of problems, such as, non-functioning, out of funds, long lines, etc. We will disembark pulling our own luggage with the first-off group. mycruz Posted October 12, 2009 #2 Share Posted October 12, 2009 I don't recall seeing an ATM at the terminal. I would suggest you taking care of that prior to arrival at the ship.
Rare whogo Posted October 12, 2009 #3 Share Posted October 12, 2009 If there is no ATM in the terminal, just have your driver swing past an ATM. Double check all the advice on this link about withdrawal limits, notification, etc. http://www.ricksteves.com/plan/tips/moneytip.htm
-Lew- Posted October 12, 2009 #4 Share Posted October 12, 2009 I agree with whogo. Your driver will be more than happy to stop by an ATM for you. Enjoy your cruise... Lew
