Do Atlantis Beaches really close at 5pm??

That seems pretty early to me. I swear I remember walking around the beaches after dark there a few years ago. But now I am reading they close at 5.

Yes, they do... and it's not recommended to walk the beaches at nite. They are mostly unlit, and there is some illegal activity as well.. that you don't want to walk in on.

People have been mugged on the beach after dark.

hmmm, isnt that a couple hours before sunset even? youd think the beach would be a popular place for the sunset....though now I cant remember what direction that beach faces. When I was out there a few years ago, there was a group of about 20 of us out late on the beach, maybe it just seemed safe because of the amount of us out there.

Just as the pools and outdoor bars in Las Vegas close around 5, they do it for the same reason. They want people inside spending money in the restaurants, bars and casino. Closing at 5 guarantees people will head inside to spend.

In the summer months. the pools and beaches close at 7pm.

In the winter, 5pm. It's dark at 5:20 in December/January.
