Your Time Dining on the Liberty

We’re looking at booking the Liberty Dec 2010 and trying “Your Time Dining”. My question is, which restaurant is this in, the Golden or the Silver? Or is YTD available in both restaurants? If so, are you assigned to one or the other or can you visit whichever one you want?

MY BIL is mobility challenged and we like to get cabins near the elevators closets to the dining room we’ll be using.

Thank you in advance for any assistance.

dining on the Liberty. As has been stated, it was the upper level of the Golden DR. We found the best way to access was to go to deck 4 between the photo gallery and the Library. That brings you right to the Maitre' D/Hostess station. We had a table for 2 every night. Only had to wait 1 time and then only about 5 minutes. We loved "Your time" dining.

Yes, Golden Dining room - upstairs.

We went at all different times and never had to wait. Great fast service too. Always got a table for two and we loved it! Anytime dining rocks!

Beware of the latest dining room scam though. They put one of those tall $4 bottles of water on your table. Then they come around and ask you if you want water. If you say yes, they will pour it from the bottle and charge you $4 and it's warm! You have to ask for ice water instead to get the free cold water. lol. We fell for it the first night.

I'm glad the other reviewers had great experiences with YTD, our first two nights left us skeptical - but things smoothed out by the third night and I would do it again...Sailed last week on the Liberty with YTD for a group of 4. When we arrived the first night, AMD explained that we may have to wait - and be given a pager if a table was not readily available, this was fine - we never had to use a pager, always a table available. First night, our waiter never spoke to us the entire evening, was short tempered when we placed our orders - and the wait was very long between courses. Second night, first available table was open in another section - we were ok with this - new waiter and assistants were friendly, but again, the wait was exceptionally long between courses and we never received bread (after asking twice), and sat for long periods of time with no water refills (we thought it was a ploy to make us go for the bottled water - LOL), the only person we saw on a regular basis was the bar waiter. At this point, we were regretting our decision to go with YTD, we missed making the connection with our wait staff as from previous cruises. Third night, we asked to be seated at a table not in the 'middle' of the aisle (first two nights we were being bumped by passers-by the entire time - seemed a bit crowded upstairs). Our third night and following were EXCELLENT - another new head waiter and assistants - fast, friendly, personal service by all involved. Excellent, especially considering all the pressures we were noticing around us - YTD seemed like a stressful working environment for the staff (especially those first two nights). But, we did like the flexibility of not having to rush to dinner (with an early seating) or wait for a later seating.
