San Diego; port to airport

There are 25 of us arriving off a cruise ship into San Diego with flights out of the airport in San Diego. What are our options for transportation for this short trip from the port to airport?

Just take cabs - its about $10 plus tip. Not worth the hassle of buses or shuttles.

You can see the planes take off and landing just to the north of the ship.

better to just vbreak the group up then arrange for all 25 people on one thing. There are lots of cabs waiting and its a very short ride

Its a short drive up N Harbor to the Airport, less then 2 miles. We stayed at the Holiday inn Bayside which is practically next door, at 4875 N Harbor. Airport is at 3225 N Harbor.

If it is a group of 25, why not look into chartering a bus for your group?

Chartering a bus would cost a lot more than taking cabs. If you figure 3 people per cab at $10 per cab, that would come out to roughly $90 total. No way you could charter a bus for that amount. In addition, you would have to wait for everyone to get off the ship, collect luggage and get through customs together before leaving for the airport. With cabs, each family or small group can leave as soon as they are disembarked.
