Dream- which side is smoke-free?

I tried searching for this, but am finding limited and conflicting information.

 

Can someone tell me what side of the ship has no-smoking on the public decks?

 

And, does this include balconies or not? I am assuming it doesn't but wanted to confirm.

In public areas the starbord side of the ship is considered smoking, port side is non-smoking. Smoking is allowed on both sides on the balconies.

In the real world, it's suppose to be like that but on the Dream Inaugural cruise, the smokers were smoking wherever they felt like it and Carnival employees wouldn't enforce the policy. We tried to get them to enforce it a couple times on the lanai when the smokers started bringing ashtrays over to the non-smoking side and taking over.

thanks for the responses. I realize it isn't a sure bet, and there could be smoking on the balconies next to me. But I figured with the promenade being below, I'd be better served to book on the non-smoking side. Thanks again.
