G.M.T. Posted October 18, 2009 #4 Share Posted October 18, 2009 Don't know if this still holds good. Costa has an option whereby 600 passengers (only US and Canadian passport holders only) could leave the ship first, you have to register onboard. 1:30 (I assume pm) is more than enough time (unless the ship is late) as FLL airport is onl<y about 10minutes away. alwaysfrantic Posted October 18, 2009 Author #5 Share Posted October 18, 2009 Ron: I see you are in Germany. One member of our family will be traveling on a German passport. What might be expected on a Caribbean cruise as a non US/Canadian citizen? Are there any additional emigration procedures?
G.M.T. Posted October 19, 2009 #6 Share Posted October 19, 2009 German passport holder will have no difficulties in the Caribbean, the most difficult and time intensive will be the USA, they should check the US Visa requirements - believe they will now have to register online. One thing the passport should be valid for at least 6 months on date of return. Ron
