17OCT Sapphire Mexican Riviera cruise turned around!!!

Captain just announced over the ship's loud speakers, that due to the hurricane our Mexican Riviera cruise has been canceledHe has turned the ship around and we are heading back up the baja to California. Our "new exciting" ports of call will be Ensenada, Catalina Island, San Diego and San Fransisco!!

Can't imagine how disappointed the passengers are. Missing a port is bad enough but to change course and technically go home is a bummer. It is for everyone's safety. Thanks for the post, often wondered what happens when ships are near hurricanes. Stay safe and have as good a time as you can.
