m steve Posted October 19, 2009 #2 Share Posted October 19, 2009 they use an automated table for Texas. I think thats the only poker on board unless a group gets together and plays in the card room.
-Lew- Posted October 19, 2009 #3 Share Posted October 19, 2009 Although the automated poker tables can be programmed for any poker game, the ones I have seen are no-limit and limit hold'em. In my experience the casino will schedule one or two no-limit tournament type games a day with a buy-in anywhere from $25 to $100. The $25 buy-in will be in effect for a day or two and then increase to whatever the casino feels the traffic will bear. At times when a tournament is not on, if there's a group of at least 5 who want to play, the casino will open a table. Lew
Rare karatemom2 Posted October 19, 2009 #4 Share Posted October 19, 2009 DH has played in few of the poker tournaments onboard. He enjoyed them, but not as much as tournaments where there is a live dealer. On most of our Princess cruises he has had more fun playing the three card poker table game that is set up like blackjack with a live dealer.
