misand Posted October 19, 2009 #1 Share Posted October 19, 2009 Hello, I just booked a mini suite on the jewel. Can you tell me the difference between a AG and AF? Thanks, misand:p
Planer's Edge Posted October 19, 2009 #2 Share Posted October 19, 2009 Nothing. The AG is a guarantee which mean they assign your cabin location. PE

garycarla Posted October 19, 2009 #4 Share Posted October 19, 2009 Yep, they are all the same and remember, they really are a deluxe balcony and not a real suite.

Making the assumption (and I know what that can get me!) that the layout is identical to the Gem's the two AG's that are the most "stern" (11636 and 11136) have a larger balcony than the other two. There a bit wider with a "notch" that the other balconies don't have...probably adds about 30 sq feet...enough to put one lounger out there. melligene Posted October 19, 2009 #6 Share Posted October 19, 2009 Nothing. The AG is a guarantee which mean they assign your cabin location. PE I'm confused. My AF is an AF. Booked, payed for, and that's that. No AG was designated.
njhorseman Posted October 19, 2009 #7 Share Posted October 19, 2009 I'm confused. My AF is an AF. Booked, payed for, and that's that. No AG was designated. And your situation wasn't being addressed. You can book an AG, you can book an AF, you can book a guarantee, you can book an assigned cabin. The OP wanted to know the difference between and AF and an AG. njhorseman Posted October 19, 2009 #8 Share Posted October 19, 2009 Nothing. The AG is a guarantee which mean they assign your cabin location. PE Not always. You can book assigned AGs. Just looked at the Jewel for 7/31/10, for example. All four AGs can be booked with your choice of cabin, not just as a guarantee.
misand Posted October 20, 2009 Author #9 Share Posted October 20, 2009 We were assigned a specific number cabin for the AG. Looking forward to it. How rough might it be since we will be almost to the back? I would have loved to have an aft cabin to see out the back. Would you rather have two inside cabins or the mini suite for two adults with a 11 and 6 yo? Thanks, misand:p

To me the balcony makes a big difference.
FLAHAM Posted October 20, 2009 #11 Share Posted October 20, 2009 Would you rather have two inside cabins or the mini suite for two adults with a 11 and 6 yo? Thanks, misand:p Two insides for sure. The balcony is very nice, but having two bathrooms for morning washup, a quiet place to go when one cabin is occupied, etc. is invaluable.
