marilynbn Posted January 6, 2005 #1 Share Posted January 6, 2005 I just found out that NCL might have to tender in at PV since the Vision of the Seas, RCCL, ship will be arriving an hour earlier than NCL and I have heard that this pushes NCL out and then we would have to tender instead of docking. Does anyone know how many ships can dock in PV? Leaving in 2 days! Marilyn
bzy1 Posted January 7, 2005 #2 Share Posted January 7, 2005 Right now two, but they are building an area for a third. Today we had one docked out and one in, but the third could have been smaller and hiding behind the other.
morriscats Posted January 7, 2005 #3 Share Posted January 7, 2005 This happened to us in October. The Pride was docked and we on Celebrity had to tender in.

morriscats Posted January 12, 2005 #5 Share Posted January 12, 2005 The ship does not dock at the pier but anchors in the bay and passengers are taken to the pier by tenders - large motor boats. Sometimes this makes for long lines getting off the ship and coming back on. And if the weather is too rough, as it was when we were in Cabo in August - that port is skipped.
