aruvqan Posted October 23, 2009 #1 Share Posted October 23, 2009 I am psyched .... I have been reading threads here for a few weeks, and getting worried about being able to make reservations for a balcony with accessability on such short notice. We were waiting for a check to clear so we could go ahead and make reservations for a honeymoon cruise in Feb [i know, trite as hell but we got married on Valentines Day ... hubby picked the day so he wouldn't forget our anniversary!] Just got off the phone, we are now booked into cabin 6300 on Explorer of the Seas! Now I get to panic about packing .... :D So, how do I add one of those spiffy ship countdown pictures to my posts?

xxoocruiser Posted October 24, 2009 #4 Share Posted October 24, 2009 That's great ! Very happy for you ! You'll have a wonderful time. Don't stress out about packing . Just bring what you're comfortable with and remember no one cares if you wear the same outfit twice. You'll never see them again anyway ! I can pack for a 30 days in a 20" carryon. I just make certain every piece is interchangeable with another. Bring jewelry , scarfs and/or pashminas to dress everything up. Beleive it or not I still bring home things that I never even wore on the cruise. My BFF always stares at my suitcase in amazement. She says my packing is like a magician's act. I am just really thrilled at the cabin - I have looked it up and it is midship, starboard side and not near any service or eatery/club. And accessible! Having read that accessible rooms get snapped up by people who just want the extra room I was worried. Is there a laundry facility on board or do I need to pack enough for the whole 9 days? We usually get away with sharing one largeish rolling suitcase, though we can take 2 if need be ;)
aruvqan Posted October 24, 2009 Author #8 Share Posted October 24, 2009 Thanks! Hmm the countdown clock did not show up ... is there a time lag or something? I pasted it right into the sig block area.

Not sure what's wrong but it should show up right away. I'd try again. Make sure you preview it before you save it.

MandD Posted November 21, 2009 #12 Share Posted November 21, 2009 Aruvgan, Just tried it again last night and it worked. So, try again, maybe you'll get lucky too.
NorthernLite Posted November 29, 2009 #13 Share Posted November 29, 2009 Bring a small bottle or use packets of Woolite for your unmentionables. Not sure about Princess having onboard self-laundry. We normally go with Celebrity and use their laundry service on longer cruises like 12-17 days. It's reasonably priced and things come back clean and well folded. Ohh, except my one experiment with 3 pairs of basic white briefs. Two came back tie dyed blue and the other wan't mine.
