Prior to the worldwide economic recession there rumours abroad that two smallish cruise ships were to be built in South Korea, one for Fred. Olsen and the other for SAGA. I doubt if there is a possibility of this happening for some time to come but Fred. Olsen migh, just might , be tempted if an attractive second-hand ship became available.

It wouldn't surprise me if Fred comes up with a new ship soon. They were do very with 5 ships.

I hope so we up north could do with a few more cruises going from Liverpool, Come on FO GET A REPLACEMENT for Black Prince. :)

Some time ago there was a rumour circulating on board FOCL ships that that the company was going to buy one of two "new builds" in Korea with the other going to SAGA. If this was a possiblity I expect the world economic downturn has put paid to it for some time. I hope I am wrong.

FOCL management have also publically said they would like to get their hands on former Royal Viking stablemate, the Prinsendam, currently with Holland America ;)
