Reciprocity fee at Buenos Aires airport

My NCL cruise documents say that this fee of about $131 per US citizen flying into EZE (Buenos Aires) that was postponed in Mar. 2009 has now been instituted despite the decline in tourism which was the original reason for postponing it. Anyone know for sure when it started or when will it start up?

It was not in effect as of Sept 28 when I entered. The tripadvisor forum for Argentina is pretty lively and if it were in effect I am sure there would be lots of discussion there. As there has been none I assume it has not gone into effect as of today.

Thank you Owl61 and Grinderboat. Looks like my NCL cruising docs are in error about the fee in Buenos Aires to be charged to US Passport-holders just like the fee that is charged entering Santiago. Let's hope the BA government continues to hold off on this fee. AwayatSea.
