*Mach* Posted November 1, 2009 #4 Share Posted November 1, 2009 The closest Coast Guard facility to the Conquest's route back from Cozumel is Corpus Christi. They have to steam hard toward south Texas as the helos only have a range of about 250 miles hence the delay coming home... Prayers for the woman they had to transport... Rare ryndam Posted November 1, 2009 #8 Share Posted November 1, 2009 Hi, Pamletx. I live here. The ship is turning now. The annual Lone Star Bike Rally has been in Galveston this weekend. More Harley's than you have ever seen in one place in your life! The major events are along the Strand and Pier 21, so there are LOTS of bikes, people, exhibitors and traffic. The Ecstasy left on time yesterday afternoon, but just be prepared for lots and lots of crowds in the area of the port. Have a great cruise! pamletx Posted November 1, 2009 #9 Share Posted November 1, 2009 Oh - I'm not the one going this morning... :( Wish I was though ... laugh... I bet things were LOUD down there ... laugh ... we live in the Hill Country and when the weather's pretty on the weekends it seems like you can hear bikes for MILES ... (that's probably an exaggeration .. but boy they're loud...) We'll be down there in about 5 monthes!! CANNOT WAIT ...
