Coco Creek Posted November 5, 2009 #51 Share Posted November 5, 2009 I have seen the energy and commaderie that a good cruise director can create--Rich Cleson, Celebrity Century. I have also seen the effect of a listless, I am bored CD--Billy London, Sapphire Princess. Yes, I think CD's can make a difference.
TanKNoVA Posted November 7, 2009 #52 Share Posted November 7, 2009 My wife and I are very gregarious types, so we love a CD who can keep up and who has a tremendous sense of humor. It's been over two years from the last cruise we took with him, but we still remember Kelvin Joy as the best CD ever. I don't remember the last guy; he pretty much mailed in his effort. Kudos to his staff who picked up the slack and covered for him. I don't know that I'd ever book a cruise based on who the CD would be - that would feel kind of "stalkerish" don't you think? But if serendipity should occur and we run into a past favorite, then it's all good. Ken
