jlhjlh Posted November 3, 2009 #1 Share Posted November 3, 2009 Hello everyone, My husband and I will be celebrating our 35th anniversary with a Mexican Riviera cruise December 12th. This is our 5th cruise and 1st one so close to Christmas. Can anyone tell me if the ship will be decorated for the holidays,or do they wait to decorate until the "Christmas week" cruise? Either way the ship will be beautiful, but it would be fun to see a few decorations here and there. Thanks for your help, jlhjlh
Caribbean Sunsets Posted November 3, 2009 #2 Share Posted November 3, 2009 I've sailed during Thanksgiving week and have seen the decorating begin the day after Thanksgiving with beautiful garlands and trees going up around the public areas. jlhjlh Posted November 3, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted November 3, 2009 Thanks Caribbean Sunsets and DriveslikeMario. It will make the week even more special!! DriveslikeMario as in Mario Andretti?? My husband's favorite driver (even though he doesn't race anymore). The highlight for my husband was getting his autograph at one of the races we attended. Thanks again to you both for the information.
sissy2000 Posted November 3, 2009 #5 Share Posted November 3, 2009 Yep, they start right after Thanksgiving. Do you know how long they leave them up?
Rare karatemom2 Posted November 3, 2009 #6 Share Posted November 3, 2009 Do you know how long they leave them up? They usually come down right after New Year's. We have done Christmas cruises that go over New Year's Day for each of the last two years and within a day or two following New Year's Day the decorations start to come down.
