NoShoes2 Posted March 3, 2023 #127 Share Posted March 3, 2023 When the horns blast for the first time. It's very exciting! That's when I know...
Rare bassmk Posted April 24, 2023 #128 Share Posted April 24, 2023 My husband and I have always have a *gasp* moment when we step off the covered tunnel from the terminal onto the actual wooden deck and into the atrium of the ship. It's our favorite moment and that's when the OMG WE'RE ON VACATION!! feeling officially starts.

Rare ceeceeDee Posted May 19, 2023 #130 Share Posted May 19, 2023 It's usually when we first set foot on the actual ship. Our biggest OMG moment was boarding Symphony of the Seas and instead of an atrium, found ourselves in a shopping mall! Four Aussie tourists with their jaws simultaneously hitting the floor!
OldCaver Posted March 16 #131 Share Posted March 16 My wife says it's when she looks down just before boarding, steps over the water, and onto the actual deck. This makes sense, of course. But for me the moment is when they took my seapass card, scanned it and I heard the ding. I guess the difference is between physically boarding, and being officially recognized as a passenger. Very little difference, I know. 1
olemissreb Posted May 5 #132 Share Posted May 5 I know I'm cruising when I'm up on the top deck with a drink in hand watching as we start to push off from the pier. My next cruise will be my first on a "new to me" cruiseline and a first ever for my boyfriend, so maybe things will change. Pretty sure some of my traditions might, but we'll be on a ship together so I welcome it all!
