Equinox - obstructed view

We booked our cruise on the Equinox (January 25th - February 5th, 2010).

 

At the time of booking, we were told that it had an obstructed view. We still booked it (cabin 6186) because of a veranda and light would come in the cabin. On the deck plans, we can see that on the 5th floor there is tenders.

 

How obstructed can the view be? We will not see the sea over the railing, but can we see the horizon?

The Solstice class ships have life boats on the promenade deck. So decks above will look out, over the life boats. No view down, but lots of light and distance views.

Your view will be obstructed if you down, and up about a foot or so.

You should be fine. :)
