Livorno Tours

We need help! We (4 of us) will be in Livorno on July 26. (Millimium) and want to tour the Cinque Terre and perhaps Portofino if there is time. Has anyone done this tour and which tour companies do you recommend? (or should we do this on our own?). Any information is much appreciated.:)

We used Paola of Florence Tour (info@florencetour.com) for a tour of Florence and Pisa and who is a licenced Florence guide and recommend her without hesitation.

We also used Paola in 2003 and she did an excellent job. Because she lives in the Old city portion of Florence she can drive and park her van in as close as possible which some tour companies can't do. They end up parking in the lot where the tour buses park and then you have to walk in.

We did the highlights of Florence and then spent about an hour in Pisa. We also did a wine tasting in a Florence wine shop which was an interesting expereince.
