6502programmer Posted November 11, 2009 #2 Share Posted November 11, 2009 What is Celebrity's policy concerning the use of electronic cigarettes on board? AFAIK they don't have a policy. If you're going to use one, don't be obvious, don't be "in your face." If you call attention to yourself, you will in all likelihood receive it, both from people who don't understand it and from crew who may have some not-so-friendly questions. bonsat Posted July 29, 2010 #4 Share Posted July 29, 2010 i used my ecig, openly, everywhere except the mdr on the equinox last april. i "smoked" it in my room, opn my balcony, inthe nightclub, in the lounges, in the casino, at the pool, at the hot glass show and not one passenger or crew member complained. some pax were curious about it and anxious to find out more because they or a friend or loved one needed to stop smoking. i made a lot of acquaintances by using it. oldbrat Posted July 29, 2010 #5 Share Posted July 29, 2010 I've been smoking for 39 years and have switched to electronic cigarettes. Love 'em! My last cruise, my e-cig came with me. Good thing too! - we were "trapped" at JFK for 8 hours. No problem for me. I'd like to tell you where I buy mine but I'm not sure we're allowed to advertise such things on here. I smoke the blu ones - coffee flavored. I smoked mine on our last cruise, as well. I don't believe there's a policy for them as they are not cigarettes. bonsat Posted July 29, 2010 #7 Share Posted July 29, 2010 i use the joye 510 manual. if you check out http://www.ecigforum.com it will answer any questions you may have. there are many vendors who cell ecigs. btw, i have been off cigarettes for just over a year after 50 years of smoking. now, hopefully, i'll live another 50 years. BalconyBumz Posted July 29, 2010 #8 Share Posted July 29, 2010 E Cigs don't put out smoke so you can pretty much do it where you want. They don't leave a smell either so you could do it non smoking areas such as cabin and balcony because it does not effect others. I know many who use them. cruise orlando Posted July 29, 2010 #9 Share Posted July 29, 2010 Celebrity has banner ads on the e-cig forum, so I think they actually encourage their use. These things really work, I am tobacco free one year today and I used to smoke a pack and a half a day.

Hey bonsat, The correct url for the ecig forum is http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com. It's a great "neutral" place to learn about electronic cigs. The 1st rule for the beginner is to stay away from Mall Kiosks and "free trial offers" (which never are once they've got your credit card number).
