Can I use OBC for room upgrade?

the price of our outside (nonbalcony) stateroom dropped again. So we called and once again got an OBC for it. If there are upgrades available, can we use OBC to pay for the upgrade?

I would look to see if the prices of the higher catagories are within your OBC and call before the cruise. We did it from a D1 to a JS and still had some OBC left.

I have NEVER been on a cruise where you could purchase upgrades at the pier. In fact, there was a big sign both at the pier and onboard the Liberty last week that said no upgrades were available. Yet, one crew member told me there were 150 free cabins, an entertainer told me there were 160 free cabins, and they gave away an Owner's Suite at bingo. I don't know WHY they don't let you do this...I'd do it in advance.

For upgrading at the pier, if available at all you will need your credit card. It has to be payed immediately, it does not go towards your onboard account, so no you can´t use OBC for it.
