wildernesslady Posted November 14, 2009 #1 Share Posted November 14, 2009 We are taking our first Celebrity cruise in March. We have taken RC in the past. Are there different dinner options each night, or is the main dining rooom it? Are there surcharges per person? We are visiting a friend who is working on the ship, so she may join us on certain nights. We are surprising her so I cannot ask her any questions. CanWeGoYet? Posted November 14, 2009 #2 Share Posted November 14, 2009 Besides the main dining room, there are different stations where you can help yourself to sushi, or get made to order stir fry, or different pasta & sauce. There is a less formal area to dine than the main dining room, I forget the name of it but you are asked to make advance reservations and there is a small surcharge ($2 or $3 per person), it is where the waiters in training are assigned. Murano is a supposedly more upscale venue with more upscale dining choices & very attentive service, reservations are needed & there is a $30 per person surcharge. The Islands Bistro is the sit-down alternative to the MDR and well worth the $2 imo. Murano is definitely an "upscale venue" and worth the cost at least once, if you like extremely formal dining, attentive service & delicious well prepared food.
