Food Quality Difference Between 1st and 2nd Seating

Typically when serving food to large numbers of people (ie: banquet service) the plating of food is done in advance and then kept in hot boxes for service all at once. My question, is this how Princess does it and is there a difference in food quality/appearance between 1st and 2nd seating? Can I expect fresher hotter food at 1st seating?

There's no difference. We have been in the galley a couple of times during dinner service (Chef's Table) and were surprised to see how fresh prepared things were. Of course salads, desserts, and veggies were already done, but for the most part, entrees were prepared as ordered -especially steaks. If you ever get a chance to do the Chef's Table, you'll be amazed at seeing the kitchen at work.
