Wine Packages on Solstice Class ships

Not wishing to debate on this thread whether they are a good buy or not

Question is they are not available on Solstice class ships - does anyone know why that is? Iwould have thought they would have introduced things on these ships first

We sail in January and are wondering if they will be introduced by then if we wanted to purchase one

Really they aren't available? You are talking about the bottle groupings you can buy? Haven't heard they aren't avail on Solstice.

You usually can purchase the packages at check in as your board the ship too. Wondering about that.

No they are not available

On our trip all the other packages (beer, soda, frozen drinks etc) are available but not the wine. If you look carefully at X opening page about when packages will become available it says not available on Solstice Class for the wine packages - yes the 3/5/7 etc bottles

Doubt on that basis they will be available on boarding

Yes I see that they haven't been offered "yet". I would just call X to see if a sail date has been set for the sale of them. I wonder what the delay is?

How do the wine packages work?

You order a package of bottled wines..a variety. usually 5 or 7 bottles I think. Then you get a special price. Usually about -10% at the most, I think. Personally I'd rather choose my wine on board. But some people like the vairety idea. There is a regular grouping and then a premium level.

 

Check out the buffet area at lunch. They often offer a special with a discount. 5.00 off per bottle. You can start it at lunch and have them deliver it to your room or the restaurant for later.

You cannot get the wine packages on Solstice class ships yet.

I asked X UK and they said they would be available but did not have a date yet. Helpful.

You would be safe to assume in the case of Equinox it will be 5th February - the day I get off!!!
