Born4Travlin Posted February 21, 2010 #133 Share Posted February 21, 2010 This was an excellent idea and much needed. We will be in the same cabin in November as a poster here and I am so glad to know the Bed is near the balcony. One of the things I ask for when sailing on any line. So, thank you. ;)

Normal or oversized for class? - Oversize Was wind a problem? - No, not for the cabin or balcony. The whole ship had a bit of a problem with wind. Any specific problems with this cabin? None - great cabin. Any other comments? The cabin is on a forward push-out (hump) so the balcony was larger.

MickeyB426 Posted February 22, 2010 #138 Share Posted February 22, 2010 Deck - 11 Cabin # - 11640 and 11644 Class – OS (Owner's Suites) Front Starboard, Front Port, Back Starboard, Back Port, Central Park, or Boardwalk - closer to Rear Starboard - halfway between middle of ship and aft elevators Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Neither - balcony was off living room Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – Quiet when rude people above us were not pounding the floors. 11644 connects to 11650, a D2. cabin. Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions or privacy was an issue– Standard balcony starboard oceanview. No obstructions. Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Oversized. 4 chairs, a table and two loungers. Was wind a problem? no Any specific problems with this cabin? I thought the space between the foot of the bed and the TV was way too narrow, but no biggie. The issue is the same issue everyone has with the bathrooms - shower too small, potty too small, bidet unnecessary, etc. Any other comments? A beautiful suite. Worth the extra price. Closet space more than plentiful. Extra electrical outlets came in handy.

gvi Posted February 23, 2010 #140 Share Posted February 23, 2010 Deck - 6 Cabin # - 6640 Class – JS (Junior Suite) Front Starboard, Front Port, Back Starboard, Back Port, Central Park, or Boardwalk - Starboard more aft hump Bed near?(balcony or bath) – bed near bath, full size sleep sofa at balcony, and berth above main bed Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – Very Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions or privacy was an issue– Great view - being in the more aft hump means no life boats below. Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Deeper due to hump location - large enough for more furniture, but only had table and 3 chairs. Was wind a problem? No Any specific problems with this cabin? No. Any other comments? LOTS of storage - our family of 4 didn't fill it all. Great walk in closet. Divider curtain opens across the whole room. tjmanzer Posted February 23, 2010 #141 Share Posted February 23, 2010 Deck - 14 Cabin # - 596 Class – D1 Front Starboard, Front Port, Back Starboard, Back Port, Central Park, or Boardwalk - Front Starboard Bed near?(balcony or bath) – near balcony Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – 2 nights of the cruise were WINDY! You could hear the loungers banging around on the pool deck above Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions or privacy was an issue– On the hump, beautiful balcony, but there is a significant overhang from the pool deck above that blocks the sun from shining onto the balcony until late in the evening. Wasn't aware of this when booking! Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Oversized compared to other D class Was wind a problem? Only that the wind made the deck chairs bang overhead, not a problem in the room. Any specific problems with this cabin? Any other comments? Wouldn't book again b/c of the overhang from pool deck above, noise some nights that there were pool parties, also a few nights that the seas were rough there was quite a bit of movement being on such a high deck! Don't think that the extra room on the balcony was worth the extra cost for the D1.

greenpony Posted February 28, 2010 #145 Share Posted February 28, 2010 Just got back from 2/20 sailing. Deck - 9 Cabin # - 9329 Class – B1 Front Starboard, Front Port, Back Starboard, Back Port, Central Park, or Boardwalk - Furthest Aft Boardwalk Balcony cabin Bed near?(balcony or bath) – balcony Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – Not quiet, Boardwalk noise always seeping in. But not too loud to sleep. Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions or privacy was an issue– Privacy is non-existent for Boardwalk cabins. However, can't beat the view. We watched Oasis of Dreams in the Aqua Theater, movies on the big screens, and pool events from the balcony. Also got to see the ocean, ports off the back of the ship. Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Felt smallish because the front was rounded. Big enough for the bistro table and chairs that were on it. Was wind a problem? No Any specific problems with this cabin? No Any other comments? I wouldn't hesitate to book this cabin again.
ken987 Posted February 28, 2010 #146 Share Posted February 28, 2010 (edited) Deck - 12 Cabin # - 590 Class – D5 Front Starboard, Front Port, Back Starboard, Back Port, Central Park, or Boardwalk - Front Starboard Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Bath Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – Yes. When the ship rocked..hahaha...ever so slightly...there was a creak or two. But we liked it. Very minimal. Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions or privacy was an issue– Since this is a slightly angled balcony you could not look to the Aft. BUT you could look to the Front and see all the way up to the Captains bridge that stuck out. Lovely view... Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Slightly Oversized. Basically getting a D1 view, location, and almost same size for the price of a D5. I think the best value on the ship! Was wind a problem? What wind?? Any specific problems with this cabin? None Any other comments? Like all the rest of the D class...where the heck are the drawers..If you love your drawers...watch out...Otherwise use the closet cubbies well! Note if connecting. ) – Yes. When the ship rocked..The ceiling creaked. Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions or privacy was an issue– Perfect View - especially in Nassau! Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Slightly Oversized. Was wind a problem? no Any specific problems with this cabin? The curtain that was supposed to seperate the bunk beds was taken down. The sprinkler was located above one of the beds, so they had to take it down. Hopefully this flaw will be fixed for Allure. Any other comments?
