Swimming Horses Puerta Vallarta

Carnival has a tour that takes you to La Desembocada which includes wading through the Mascota River on horseback. I am going on the Vision of the Seas, and I don't think they offer the same tour. Does anyone know if there is a private company that I can book the tour? Or does Royal Caribbean have a similar tour?

Doña Engracia a hacienda styled place that has food, drinks, horseback riding, a small lake, fishing, and more. Just take a taxi there (about 35 minutes) and enjoy. I think a day pass is about $30 US, although they have plenty of options depending on what you want to do.

 

The restaurant on the river, Gueros Palancas is EXCEPTIONAL! (Just went there today) A local seafood place where you can get 30+ big shrimp cooked three ways (or how you want them) garlic, diabla and breaded.

the river is shallow for the most part this time of year (no rain) so the horses do not swim (even in rainy season they usually do not swim)
