tbmrt Posted November 24, 2009 #1 Share Posted November 24, 2009 We received tags from a group with whom we're taking a cruise on the Sky. Said to put their luggage tag on our baggage for debarkation as a group. Question: Do groups get earlier debarkation? I understood that we could select a debarkation time with some sort of tag we chose the day before.
bakerintn Posted November 24, 2009 #2 Share Posted November 24, 2009 It makes sense to have the group's luggage taken off at the same time in order to keep the group together (ie, to load a bus, etc). Groups do not necessarily leave earlier than other passengers. No passengers can leave until customs and immigration are ready. Passengers who are not taking their own luggage do select a time for their luggage to be offloaded, by getting luggage tags for the appropriate time and putting their luggage outside their cabin the night before. The people themselves leave when they want....if they leave before their luggage tag time, they will likely have to wait in the terminal to meet up with their luggage. Your group will probably arrange a meeting place for its members and then go from there off the ship as a group or designate a time to depart and a place to re-group within the terminal.
