SLCMRF03 Posted November 29, 2009 #1 Share Posted November 29, 2009 Hello! I have been reading on some sites that people can get together here, and plan, potentially, group excursions for much cheaper than the Princess excursion rates. Any takers? If not, does anyone of any suggestions of what Princess excursions to take and ones to skip in the following places: Monaco Florence Naples Santorini Kusadasi Athens Mykonos Katakolon Corfu Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!! Thanks
Rare cruisemom42 Posted November 29, 2009 #2 Share Posted November 29, 2009 People do get together and plan to share private tours in ports. However, the place to do that is the roll call for your sailing. To find it, look under the listing of boards for "Roll Calls" then select your cruise line, the ship you are sailing on, and then look through the threads to locate the one for your particular sail date. If you want to gather information about the particular ports and what to do there, check out the Mediterranean Boards -- these cover all the ports you'll be visiting: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=
MercedMike Posted November 29, 2009 #3 Share Posted November 29, 2009 On our trips to the Med, we have often used ship's excursions and sometimes booked private excursions. Both work very well. You can check out some of the things we have done and enjoyed at http://www.elite.net/~thehalls/med.html http://www.bully4.us/holyland.html and also at the first page of http://www.bully4.us/blacksea.html Have a GREAT cruise! ny4cruise Posted January 27, 2010 #4 Share Posted January 27, 2010 Like cruisemom42 suggests the roll call of your cruise is where you should look or post to share private tours with others. From my experience the ports worth having a private tour so as to see as much as possible are: Florence, Naples, Kusadasi (Efessus visit) and Athens. That’s my personal opinion… Good luck!
