Warm or Cool on Decks in Mex Riviera?

OK, we've done five Caribbean X cruises, loved every one of 'em. Now we're going on Mercury to the Mexican Riviera, but wonder if we need to pack warmer clothing, especially for walking the decks in the evening. In the Caribbean shorts and polo shirts were fine, but will we need long pants and sweatshirts for the MR? Thanks!

This cruise is a mixed bag, while in the waters off CA heading to/from Mexico it is cool, even during the day 90% are in sweatshirts, year round, not much sunning during this part of the cruise. But once you are in the Mexican waters it warms right up real similar to Caribbean, so need to pack for both.
