rickechambers1@aol.com Posted December 20, 2009 #26 Share Posted December 20, 2009 That's a once in a lifetime suite! Hopefully not just ONCE in a lifetime. ;) I sure plan on doing it again! Best vacation EVER.
AdoptAtty Posted December 21, 2009 #27 Share Posted December 21, 2009 This is the bar area on the Star 14500, it also has a small luggage closet (held all our luggage) in the hall, and I understand 14000 does not. This had everything we needed. If they will permit the 6 adults and 2 children, you can figure something out... you can even put the two roll aways up in the living room if they allow that, there is plenty of room. The GV experience is beyond your imagination! This was part of our outdoor private area.... and this was the view from the living room....
WhenIsOurNextCruise Posted December 21, 2009 #28 Share Posted December 21, 2009 Can someone tell me the cost of 3rd and 4th passenger in the GV? Depends on the itinerary and length of the cruise but it is SIGNIFICANTLY less than the first two people. Usually in the hundreds instead of thousands. sdg1871 Posted February 1, 2010 #29 Share Posted February 1, 2010 Hi,My family is planning a special cruise to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary. :) I have 2 questions::confused: 1- How many people can be booked in a Garden Villa on the Pearl? 2- Which villa is better.....14000 or 14500? I will be in 14500 on the Pearl from Feb 13-20. Just three of us: me, my 12 year old son and my mother. We can't wait.

DMH15 Posted February 2, 2010 #32 Share Posted February 2, 2010 Why would a cabin have a kitchen? I would not have thought that any cooking would be allowed outside of the main kitchens, where there are halon and alarm systems. What am I missing? Can the ship provide a chef to cook something in your room? I am a chef and would love it.
DMH15 Posted February 2, 2010 #33 Share Posted February 2, 2010 Not knowing the make up of the party, but if 4 couples, then the GV could be problem... three bedrooms. Or the GV plus an A4 - it does not have the extra bedroom. That would be 3 in the GV, plus one in the A4. Two A3 or 2 AB suites would work well. But of course 2 couples then have to take the mini bedroom. Depends on cost structure, sharing, etc. Why did an image of the movie poster of "Bob, Carol, Ted & Alice" come to mind? :) Kidding, of course. crusingalong Posted February 2, 2010 #34 Share Posted February 2, 2010 Regina & Gregg HI! When and where are you going on your NCL Star cruise. I see here on this 12/09 post that you have booked. Bill & I (Ruth) were in your CC group on the Star 11/14-11/21/09..Remember? It was the Mexican Riviera then and we are doing a Repeat and have garnered an Aft balcony with cruise date of 4/10/10. Remember Bill & Myrna (Swedish Weave)?..they are doing the Star 1/30/10 cruise right now and will be on the ship with us again on 4/10. Wish I had gotten your email like I did with Bill & Myrna but I hope you get this and can get back to me here or r a t b d t at s b c g l o b a l dot net (leave out the spaces). Whirled Peas Posted February 23, 2010 #36 Share Posted February 23, 2010 Just today I booked the Pearl GV 14000 for me, my hubbie and two other couples. I CAN'T WAIT! I definitely will give an update on this GV when I return (14 day Panama Canal 4/10-24), and I will try to sneak a peak at 14500 to see if there are any differences other than color schemes. :D:D:D:D:D:D
Luv2cruisewithtwins Posted February 23, 2010 Author #37 Share Posted February 23, 2010 OK, so why did you choose cabin 14000 over 14500 for your Pearl cruise??
Whirled Peas Posted February 24, 2010 #38 Share Posted February 24, 2010 We chose 14000 because 14500 was booked already. I have done a lot of research. I don't think there is any difference between the two GVs on the Pearl except the color scheme. Of course, you may prefer port (14500) or starboard (14000) depending on your itinerary. secondhand Posted February 24, 2010 #39 Share Posted February 24, 2010 We had both Pearl Gv's on a recent sail, they are identical mirror image suites save for color scheme. Some believe that 14500 gets more "landview" ports but I have not found that too be the case. Good luck.:)
MizDaisy Posted February 25, 2010 #40 Share Posted February 25, 2010 Just curious, if the GV's say they only sleep 6, then why can you book 8? Usually they stick to a certain number of people due to the lifeboat capacities. The "kitchen" is for the butler to put together any meals ordered to the room, and also for party prep.
